Lava Blue and Carbonaught are proudly pioneering the Agriculture in Atherton Carbonation Project (AABC). This landmark collaboration seeks to tackle the pressing challenges faced by agriculture: soil acidification, carbon and mineral depletion, and rising fertilizer costs, to name a few. Carbonaught's expertise lies in enhanced rock weathering, delivering dual benefits of carbon removal and nutrient-rich soils. Leveraging Lava Blue's mineral-rich basalt deposits, we aim to rejuvenate agricultural soils in the Atherton Tablelands and beyond. Furthermore, Carbonaught's cutting-edge LAYA platform will streamline the project's management and reporting. As both entities bring their distinct proficiencies to the table, our mutual goal is to establish sustainable, profitable, and carbon-neutral agricultural practices for the future of North Queensland and our planet.
